Feel good about how you're parenting.
You want to help your children learn how to express their emotions in healthy and positive ways.
But when your child is experiencing big feelings or challenging behaviours like kicking, hitting, or biting, it’s hard to know how to respond.
Everything you say seems to make it worse, and using traditional discipline methods like spanking or time-outs just leave you feeling guilty.
You know there must be a better way to parent but you have no idea where to start!
Whether you’re a new parent planning proactively for the toddler years, or in the thick of two-year-old meltdowns…
We help you:
- Understand your child’s big emotions and meltdowns
- Respond to challenging behaviour with compassion and respect
- Find your calm as a parent and understand your own childhood triggers
- Grow in self compassion and protect your own mental health
- Parent in a way that aligns with your personal values
- Connect on a deeper level with your child
- Raise emotionally intelligent little kids
At Our Mama Village, we believe respectful, loving discipline helps children grow into respectful, loving adults.
Hi! My name is Jess.
I’m a Registered Psychotherapist and a mom of two young children. When I had my first daughter, I felt so alone and anxious in my new role as a parent. When I finally reached out and got the support I needed, everything changed!
I started Our Mama Village to support parents as they raise emotionally healthy little kids and care for their own mental health in the process. For the past 4 years, Our Mama Village has helped thousands of parents learn how to understand their child’s behaviour and parent in a way that feels good to them.
Are you ready to get started?
What parents have been saying! ❤️
“I’ve taken parenting classes, read multiple parenting books and even hired a parenting coach. I used to feel ashamed when I “knew what to do” but struggled to implement without practical examples.
Your course gave examples upon examples to illustrate the lessons. Other parenting experts tend to use easy examples to make a point but your examples were real-life, challenging and helpful!“
