Hi! My name is Jess.

I’m a Registered Psychotherapist and a mom of two young children. When I had my first daughter, I felt so alone and anxious in my new role as a parent. When I finally reached out and got the support I needed, everything changed!

I started Our Mama Village to support parents as they raise emotionally healthy little kids and care for their own mental health in the process. For the past 4 years, Our Mama Village has helped thousands of parents learn how to understand their child’s behaviour and parent in a way that feels good to them.

Jessica VanderWier is a Registered Psychotherapist who helps families understand and respond to their child’s “big feelings” with gentleness, respect, and effectiveness.

Jessica lives in the Niagara region of  Ontario, Canada with her husband, Scott, and their two daughters, a 2-year-old and 5-year-old.
